2 Sep: List of Covers performed by Duffy

List of Covers by performed by Duffy

Cry To Me (Solomon Burke, Rolling Stones etc cover: Duffy performed several places including Taratata French TV earlier this year March I think, Stripped Sessions from May, plus various festivals and gigs after that - it's on the Lollo download )

Ready for the Floor (Hot Chip cover: one off on radio one live lounge feb 2008, which i think is still on Duffy's myspace is that correct?)

Tainted Love (Soft Cell cover, One off on Jools Holland Radio show a few months ago and Jools plays the piano on the track)

Please Stay (Cryin Shames cover: Duffy has played this at a number of her gigs and the only quality audio downloads of it currently available are the Shepherd's Bush gig audio from 4th June and the Paradiso webcast audio from 2nd July, but it will apparently be released as a single later this year since Duffy (with Bernard Butler's help) recorded it as the theme tune for the closing credits of the forthcoming Joe Meek movie "Telstar"....)

Borderline (Madonna cover: One off performance at Radio One's Big Weekend back in May. There's a video of this one aswell as quality audio)

These Arms of Mine (Ottis Redding cover: Duffy performed this in Jan 08 on Dermot O'Leary radio show and also on a US radio show on KFOG radio aired April 25th. The Dermot O'Leary one is better audio quality)

First Cut is the Deepest (Cat Stevens, Rod Stewart etc cover: one off as Duffy was the replacement for Rod Stewart on Jools Holland's New Year Hootenanny show. This is avail in quality video but the audio versions I have come across have always been low quality, someone needs to rip the audio of the dvd.)

Bring it On Home to me (Sam Cooke cover: One off duet with Eddie Floyd on Jools Holland's New Year Hootenanny show. This is avail in quality video but the audio versions I have come across have always been low quality, someone needs to rip the audio of the dvd.)

Pre-Rockferry covers

I Wish I Was a Single Girl (demo recorded with The Invisible Wires) is a really old song which has been done by many including of course Eva Cassidy. Maybe Duffy did more "covers" as she was just a singer at that stage.

Wawfactor Welsh TV show:
There are poor quality versions of Duffy singing a Welsh version of Stevie Wonder's 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered' and the Welsh classic 'Harbwr Diogel' (Safe Harbour) which were taken from the video put up on S4C's website recently.

Let me know if I have missed anything out and search my blog for any of the above for more details.

Several of the links on Duffy's live songs do not function. How do we correct this?

If you mean my list of songs on the left hand side it is because I uploaded alot of them months ago and sendspace has expired them or deleted them. Most if not all have been reuploaded and links given on the new duffy forum http://duffy.forumotion.net/forum.htm

If you can't find what you want in the downloads section of the new forum then post a message there and someone will do a re-up.

Cheers
