DUFFY'S A DEVIL...IN DISGUISE!
WELSH belter Duffy believes worse-for-wear celeb casualties Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears and Pete Doherty are actually good influences.
The singer reckons fans can identify with stars who reveal their frailties – even if it means seeing them break down in public.
Aimee Duffy, 23, said: “In a really weird way, I think those kind of people show others it’s all right to be human – for all their faults.”
But the girl from deepest Gwynedd is aware Amy, 24, Brit, 26, and 29-year-old Pete’s extra curricular activities aren’t quite so healthy, and she’s vowed not to follow a similar path.
She explained: “I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, so don’t say I’m some kind of clean-slate, virginal angel. But I’ve not got any issues right now, which is good.”
Despite spending four weeks at the top of the album charts, Duffy is still struggling to come to terms with fame.
The blonde bombshell spent years hoping for her big break but she’s finding a successful pop career more difficult to cope with.
She told this month’s issue of Clash magazine: “It was a slow process but as soon as the doors were open it went mental.
“I mean, I get chased by people on motorbikes and things. It’s not something that anyone can really prepare you for.”
